Rae’s Hope

Healthy Living

In Dallas, many people must travel considerable distances to buy food from supermarkets in the neighborhoods where they are easily accessible.

Nearly 1 in 3 children in America is overweight or obese. Rae’s Hope teaches girls nutritional values and their importance, so they can develop healthy eating habits at an early age for a healthier future.

Rae’s Hope

Importance Of Healthy Diet

At Rae’s Hope, we aim to teach our girls the importance of maintaining a healthy diet. During the COVID-19, Rae’s Hope wanted to ensure our girls had proper nutritional offerings during difficult times.

We delivered boxes of fresh produce and poultry to our girls’ families to ensure they had access to healthy food options.

Rae’s Hope

Healthy Eating

The girls learn about whole foods and healthy eating within the food pyramid and how it can impact their quality of life as youths into adulthood.

As part of a well-balanced, regular diet and a healthy, active lifestyle, a high intake of fruit and vegetables can help reduce obesity and maintain body weight, lower cholesterol, lower blood pressure, and more.
