Rae’s Hope

Signature Events

Volleyball Clinic

Offers:
Eliminates the gap and gives the girls an opportunity for a positive outcome than those who do not participate in a sport.

Prevent and Acquire:
Girls are less likely to join gangs, get into fights at school, drop out of school, etc. Turnaround and develop confidence and self-esteem, compete in leagues, participate in team building exercises and improve social skills.

Outcome:
Offers an opportunity for the girls to compete in leagues, participate in team building exercises, and improve social skills twice a year.

Community Bike Ride

Goal:
The Rae’s Riders program is focused on teaching girls bike safety, bike repair, exposure to fitness and being outdoors. The program allows the girls to build confidence, independence, and self-esteem. Also, to create community awareness. The girls train for three hours on Saturdays for eight-weeks from August through October. On the last day of the program there is a community bike ride followed by an annual Bike Ride Event that takes place in April.

Program:
Two age groups: Sun Rae’s (young girls) and Rae’s Blazers (older girls)

Winter Donation Drive

  • Goal:
    The drive allows Rae’s Hope to give presents to girls whose parents are financially struggling and not able to provide during the holidays.

    Outcome:
    Awards and recognition ceremony for the girls who have demonstrated and put in the hard work through Rae’s Hope.

Technology Day

  • Goal:
