Rae’s Hope
Girls remain in the program for years and frequently after graduation come back to volunteer.
Rae’s Hope develops lifelong relationships.
Rae’s Hope
I support Rae’s Hope because it helps meet the needs of girls in an often-overlooked area of Dallas. Through her hard work as Executive Director of the organization, Angela Fields provides hope and opportunity for the many girls whose lives she has made a difference in over the years.

“My daughter has been with Rae’s Hope since the 2nd grade and still continue to be involved with this organization. She stuck with it and received a volleyball scholarship from the State of Missouri. I went to every meeting with her. She learned about etiquette, social skills, and developed leadership skills. Rae’s Hope showed a lot of love towards my daughter and went out of their way with coaches to help her with volleyball.”

I’ve had the pleasure of working side by side with Ms.Fields and Rae’s Hope. A true blessing to the children and the community. Rae’s Hope has given children a steady pathway, filled with knowledge and amazing experiences, towards achieving their goals and dreams. The BEST nonprofit thus far!!

Rae’s Hope
“I began volunteering with Rae’s Hope in summer 2019 to help teach the girls how to ride bicycles and play volleyball and was immediately struck by the wonderful and supportive relationships the girls built together and the joy they get from participating in all the programs. Rae’s Hope teaches the girls teamwork, leadership, communication, conflict resolution, self-respect, good citizenship, and more. The impact of Rae’s Hope extends so far beyond girls’ volleyball: from helping kids stay in school, graduate, go to college, and get involved in giving back to their community to helping parents become more active participants with their girls and providing parents with resources from partnering organizations to teaching STEM skills to all kids and giving needed goods to the wider South Dallas community.”

Rae’s Hope
“Well, to start off my daughter Asija and I have been part of Rae’s Hope for nine (9) years. We met Angela Fields at Johnston Elementary, where my kids attended school. We heard about an after-school program called “The Fitness Club”. Then we joined Rae’s Hope Organization. My daughter Asija was quiet, shy, and soft-spoken, but after being introduced to other girls her age, and the positive atmosphere she began to come out of her shell. Rae’s Hope gives girls in our community a chance to experience events, places, and opportunities that they might not encounter without Rae’s Hope organization. It offers girls and parents opportunities to bold together as well as bonding with other girls and parents. Rae’s Hope believes in giving back to the community, by helping in community gardens and helping clean-up the community. Also, the organization teaches the girls financial literacy, healthy eating, etiquette, fitness, and tutoring for girls needing assistance with homework. With the help of many volunteers that are there to assist with the girls, Rae’s Hope girls have attended events such as a GNO (Girls Night Out) session with Margot Lee Shetterly(author of Hidden Figures Book), Mavericks’ basketball, and Rangers’ baseball games. Rae’s Hope mission “reviving communities one child at a time.”
